Job summary

TEKsystems in Hermiston, OR is hiring multiple Data Center Structured Cabling Technicians for a contract role based out of Kennewick, WA. The role focuses on structured cabling installation, network infrastructure deployment, and staging support in data center environments.

Qualified candidates will have 2–5+ years of industry experience, be able to work independently or in large teams, and manage onsite relationships across multiple groups to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of industry experience (construction, low voltage, cabling, telecom, hardware technician, deployment & implementation)
• Ability to work independently and within large teams in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage onsite relationships with multiple internal and external teams during the onsite implementation of the system
• Ability to manage competing priorities (prioritize tasks throughout the day)
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible (open to change and being able to keep your head on a swivel)
• Proven record of driving success and delivering results by removing barriers
• Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kennewick, WA.

Responsibilities

• Structured Cabling Installation – routing, termination, labeling, and testing of copper and fiber cabling per ANSI/TIA standards
• Network Infrastructure Deployment – support rack integration, device mounting, cable management, connectivity
• Installation & Staging Support – equipment staging, asset labeling, site prep, deployment activities
• Data Center & Telecommunications Experience – familiarity with structured cabling environments, telecommunications rooms, MDF/IDF installations
• Project Execution & Team Collaboration – support all phases of installation projects with teams to meet timelines and quality standards
