Job summary

TEKsystems’ Data Center Deployment Technician is a contract, onsite role based in Seattle, WA, supporting large-scale data center and network infrastructure deployments. You will install, route, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber cabling, rack equipment, and manage cables to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met on active construction sites.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ experience in data center operations, structured cabling, low-voltage installation, and hardware

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, cabling, or related fields.
• Experience with structured cabling standards and installation best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling per ANSI/TIA standards.
• Perform rack integration, equipment installation, device mounting, and cable management.
• Support data center deployments, room buildouts, and MDF/IDF installations.
• Stage hardware, label assets, prepare sites, and execute deployment activities.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and certifications to validate installation quality.
• Troubleshoot issues while maintaining project timelines.
• Maintain documentation and deployment records.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site leadership throughout execution.
• Identify risks, remove barriers, and escalate as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and deployment best practices.
