Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a data center cabling technician for a contract position based in Pasco, WA. The role involves installing, maintaining, and decommissioning cabling infrastructure, including copper and fiber, with emphasis on safety and adherence to standards.

The candidate should have data center or telecom experience, be willing to obtain OSHA 10 and Scissor Lift certification, and be prepared for physical work onsite.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable with heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and manual cabinet assembly.
• Experience in data center, cabling, telecom, or electrician apprentice roles is a plus.
• Low voltage experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and decommission data center network and cabling infrastructure.
• Perform cable routing, termination, splicing, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Install and support structured cabling systems and live service upgrades.
• Read blueprints and coordinate with teams, providing project status updates.
• Ensure safety, quality, and documentation standards; keep work areas organized.
• Complete physical tasks in data centers, including lifting equipment and pulling cable.
