Job summary

Facade Today in New York, NY is seeking a Building Engineer II to support our data center operations on the 2nd and 3rd shifts (16:00–24:00 and 24:00–08:00). You will monitor mission critical infrastructure including generators, UPS, HVAC, fire/life safety, BMS, and CMMS systems, and ensure high availability.

The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical or mechanical skills, at least 3 years in mission critical facilities, and can work independently to perform maintenance, update procedures, and

Qualifications

At least 3 years’ experience in mission critical facilities operating / engineering (UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety).
Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill with cross-discipline competence.
Strong knowledge of UPS systems and architectures.
Strong knowledge of cooling systems and architectures.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; familiar with Project, Acrobat, Visio or AutoCad.
Strong understanding of CMMS, DCIM, and power metering systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot site mechanical and electrical systems.
Respond to unplanned events without immediate supervision.
Complete rounds/inspections and detect anomalies during rounds.
