Job summary

Facade Today in New York seeks a Data Center Operating Engineer (Union) to support hands-on maintenance of critical building systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist in operations, and ensure safe, efficient performance of all assigned properties.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years in the building maintenance field, and Universal CFC certification (or within 90 days). Union training is also acceptable.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required and 4+ years in building maintenance.
• Must have Universal CFC certification (or obtain within 90 days).
• Union training and certification acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, repair and operation of mechanical, electrical and power generation equipment for critical environments.
• Operate systems safely and in compliance with regulations and SOPs.
• Learn building control, electrical and UPS systems via on-the-job training and manuals.
• Conduct preventive and routine maintenance and equipment rounds per plan.
• Inspect and repair pumps, fans, valves, and motors for proper operation.
• Read blueprints and job standards to perform duties.
• Maintain time/production records and service requests.
• Work flexibly within changing scopes while minimizing human error.
