Job summary

EOS IT Solutions in Minnesota seeks a Data Center Repair Lead (Breakfix) to oversee hardware repair and troubleshooting in our data center environments. You will lead a technicians team, manage escalations, and ensure SLA-driven repair delivery across server, storage, and network hardware.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will diagnose with CLI tools, coordinate with OEMs for RMA, mentor junior technicians, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support upgrades and maintenance

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on data center experience.
• 5+ years in breakfix support, hardware diagnostics, and repair in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years in people management, supervision, mentoring, or equivalent responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages technician team members at the site, including 1:1s, coaching, onboarding and performance feedback.
• Coordinate daily support operations, workload, ticket queues, escalations and SLA adherence.
• Perform advanced diagnostics with CLI tools to identify and resolve hardware and network issues.
• Oversee physical hardware repair and component-level replacements across server, storage, and network hardware.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors for RMA, part replacements and warranty claims.
• Mentor junior technicians and ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for upgrades, migrations, and maintenance windows.
