Qualifications

• 2-year degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating environment and basic network concepts.
• Basic scripting abilities (BASH, Python, Perl, etc.) for admin tasks.
• Familiarity with AI tools to assist CLI commands, log parsing, or debugging scripts.
• Physical ability to lift hardware and work in a 24x7 data center environment.
• Ability to work on-site at Lockport, NY and participate in shift rotations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair rack-mount servers, storage units, and network equipment to ensure high uptime.
• Prioritize incoming requests by urgency and platform impact.
• Diagnose hardware, Layer 1-3 network, and system issues across infrastructure.
• Leverage AI-assisted log analysis and utilities to quickly isolate faults and speed MTTR.
• Identify repetitive tasks and automate daily maintenance with AI scripting tools.
• Use in-house tools to deploy OS, update DNS, configure switches, and provision hosts.
• Collaborate with site engineering and platform teams for safe change requests.
• Provide ticket status updates and resolution details to internal customers.
• Support ongoing 24x7x365 shift rotations.
