Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Area Construction Manager to join our Data Center Design, Engineering, & Construction (DEC) team. The ACM will manage 6–8 regions and 2–6 FTE per region, traveling 50%+ to ensure effective support and collaboration.

You will oversee land-ready and Construction Ready sites, retrofit and live-environment work, and lead a matrix of Safety, QAQC, and Project Controls to achieve on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in construction and project planning of complex, mission critical projects
• Experience with various contract delivery methodologies, legal considerations, IP, and commercial terms
• Experience in large scale construction management (excess of $500M/yr. construction spend)
• Experience in engineering, design, commissioning, and operations and ground-up new build site development and construction as well as retrofit work in live environments

Responsibilities

• Oversee New Build, land ready and Construction Ready sites; provide preconstruction support
• Manage retrofit and techmod projects and onboarding of new hires
• Support programmatic initiatives and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement
• Provide clear communications to Area Manager and leadership on delivery impacts
• Review and approve contracts and Change Orders within signing authority
• Coordinate with other Area Construction Managers to align priorities and share best practices
• Onboard new hires and support recruitment and hiring decisions across Areas
• Develop high-impact relationships with stakeholders to optimize processes
• Drive rapid issue resolution on sites
• Lead and mentor DEC teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
