Job summary

Meta is seeking an Area Construction Manager to lead DEC Delivery Construction Management for our data center portfolio. You will manage 6-8 regions with 2-6 FTEs per area, travel 50%+, and coordinate with Safety, QAQC, and Project Controls to deliver on time and within budget.

You’ll guide contracts, change orders, and team development in a fast-paced enterprise setting. The role requires 15+ years in complex construction, GMP delivery experience, and strong cross-functional negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in construction and project planning of complex, mission critical projects.
• Experience in large scale construction management (excess of $500M/yr. construction spend)
• Experience in design and construction supply chain and processes
• Experience communicating, presenting, and negotiating with cross-functional teams on complex construction projects
• Experience with various contract delivery methodologies, legal considerations, IP, and commercial terms

Responsibilities

• Oversee New Build, land ready and Construction Ready sites and retrofit projects; onboard new hires and support programmatic initiatives.
• Provide clear, concise communications to the Area Manager and broader organization when delivery capacity is affected.
• Monitor KPI to ensure health of the team and project.
• Provide people management to site teams; develop and empower teams and drive execution.
• Support contract and change order negotiations and prepare for CCAM presentations.
• Review and advise on contracts and change orders above signing authority.
• Coordinate with other Area Construction Managers to align priorities and share Lessons Learned.
• Ensure timely resolution of issues on sites.
• Oversee onboarding of new hires and assist in recruitment decisions across Areas.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to optimize processes and strategy across Areas.
• Provide fast feedback to support continuous improvement.
