Job summary

The Department of Health and Human Services in Augusta, Maine is seeking a Reporting Analyst in the Data and Analytics Unit of the Office of Child and Family Services. You will support the production, analysis, monitoring and auditing of child and family services and child protection data for OCFS, DHHS, other state departments, the Maine State Legislature, Federal Government and partners.

The OCFS Reporting Analyst will assist with Federal reporting, participate in special projects, and work on

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices.
• Preference for knowledge of data systems, database fundamentals, and relational database structure.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (datasets, charts, graphs, pivot tables) and experience with customer service and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce, analyze, monitor and audit data reports for OCFS, DHHS, other State Departments, the Maine State Legislature and Federal Government.
• Run and distribute routine data reports; log and track incoming data requests; set priority and completion estimates; assign work.
• Learn to complete requests using appropriate data systems, ensuring data produced is authorized and approved by leadership.
• Assist with production, review and audit of Federal reporting and participate in special projects and data initiatives.
