Qualifications

• Interviews agency staff and observes work processes to gather data for evaluating services.
• Reviews data relating to policies, procedures, management and operations; defines and may recommend corrections.
• Analyzes data and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.
• Evaluates effectiveness of operations in meeting goals and objectives.
• Provides technical assistance in understanding and developing management objectives and controls.
• Studies background material such as legislation and regulations.
• Makes recommendations and assists in implementing new techniques or procedures to improve methods.

Responsibilities

• Documents findings of studies and prepares recommendations for new systems or organizational changes.
• May supervise administrative support staff; supervision includes planning, assigning, reviewing and training.
• Coaches and participates in hiring/fire and discipline decisions per Merit Rules.
