Job summary

Acro Service Corp is seeking an experienced accounting professional to collect, analyze, and evaluate financial data from diverse sources, ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting for state programs. You will implement accounting policies, perform audits, and guide management to optimize processes and meet regulatory requirements.

The role involves advising state agencies, verifying transaction coding, and developing procedures aligned with federal mandates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Business Management, Computer Information Systems or related field.

Responsibilities

Collect, analyze and evaluate financial data from various sources.
Ensure transactions comply with accounting and tax policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
Provide counsel and advice to state organizations to resolve discrepancies and preclude errors and delays in processing.
Approves requests, verifies coding for transaction processing or cancellation.
Implements accounting functions, policies, procedures, systems and plans.
Develops and recommends policies and procedures consistent with state accounting, rules, regulations, priorities, objectives and new federal mandates.
Performs audits of documents to ensure proper accounting of funds.
Provides recommendations, guidance and direction to management for the purpose of understanding, meeting functional and operational goals and objectives.
