Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a skilled Payments Systems Specialist to support Verifone terminals and related hardware/software. The role emphasizes collaboration across technical and non-technical teams, with reliance on AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting and documentation across enterprise payment projects.

The candidate should have 3+ years in payment hardware/software support, strong analytical capabilities, and experience negotiating with payment processors like Fiserv.

Job description

Strong Experience working with Verifone payment terminals and tools, such as VHQ, a plus.

Experience in Hospitality and Payment Domain.

3 years+ working experience supporting Payment hardware/software.

Experience or some kind of familiarity with leveraging/managing AI tools. This role will heavily utilize AI tools like CoPilot.

Nice To Have:

Technical knowledge of payment integration with POS and Web & Mobile solutions, Mobile and cloud-based technologies (eg, Azure).

Familiarity with payment instruments such as credit/debit cards and their rules and regulations, as well as credit card tokenization processes.

Role Requirements/Descriptions:

3 years+ working experience supporting Payment hardware/software.

2 years+ working experience consulting with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical skills including root cause analysis, identifying trends, researching and analyzing data, drawing conclusions, resolving issues, interpreting and understanding policies/procedures/laws/regulations.

Understand credit card tokenization processes required.

Strong Experience working with Verifone payment terminals and tools, such as VHQ, a plus.

This role may occasionally be responsible for assisting in configuring, deploying, supporting, and improving Payment solution and hardware for Dunkin and Baskin-Robbins brands.

Assist with technical team documentation, ensuring processes and work arounds are updated and new solutions properly documented, and the knowledge base updated.

Reviewing debug logs, datasets, and working with vendors to isolate root cause and address a fix as needed.

Must have great (technical) problem-solving skills, ability to quickly adapt.

Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience in communicating complex technical terms to non-technical audiences.

Ability to quickly acknowledge and take ownership of an issue.

Work as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams.

Self-starter, ability to perceive and carry out next steps without direction.

Experience with large scale implementation of applications, infrastructure or databases related to restaurant operations and associated technologies.

The role may occasionally collaborate and partner with non-traditional business partners on experimental revenue growth.

Partner with cross-functional teams to help ensure stability across the estate and support timely resolution of escalations especially during integration pilot phases.

Plans effectively can adapt to priority changes.

Respond promptly to others to ensure open and timely communication.

Communicate all issues, status updates, action items, and risks to the management team.

Support technical efforts with vendors and product teams to complete and enhance integration.

Strong knowledge of application/integration testing, performance monitoring and testing strategies in order to effectively communicate with QA teams.

Experience or familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies is a plus, as it can support process improvements, troubleshooting efficiency, documentation, and overall operational effectiveness.

Proven ownership, execution and delivery accountability experience leading highly visible enterprise and line-of-business programs.

Track record of being client focused, with ability to interact with both internal and external clients seamlessly.

Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously in a complex and high-paced environment

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $29.12/hour - $45.51/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
