Job summary

Trade Nation is seeking an experienced Head of Data & AI to lead our data and AI strategy across the organisation. Reporting to the COO, the role combines enabling self-service data access with embedding AI into operations.

You will lead a team of Data Analysts, partner with Data Engineering and Compliance, and influence senior stakeholders to deliver measurable business impact across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within Data, Analytics or AI functions.
• Successful AI solutions that transformed workflows and delivered impact.
• Delivers projects from concept to production and adoption.
• Hands-on SQL, data modelling and analytics engineering.
• Experience with dbt or similar version-controlled frameworks.
• Strong data warehouse architecture and semantic modelling knowledge.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery.
• Background in financial services, trading or capital markets.
• Experience leading analytics teams and managing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive AI strategy from opportunity to deployment and value realisation.
• Redesign business workflows around AI for practical outcomes.
• Build AI capability through training, templates and champions.
• Measure AI adoption, metrics and lessons learned.
• Own the data warehouse gold layer: metrics, definitions and quality.
• Develop semantic data models for trusted access to data.
• Promote data self-service across teams.
• Establish analytics engineering best practices: testing and code reviews.
• Improve data estate quality and deliver proactive insights to leadership.
