Job summary

Databricks is hiring Solutions Architects to lead customer engagement and architect Databricks Lakehouse solutions on public clouds. You will prototype data and AI solutions, craft reference architectures, and guide customers through implementations to deliver business value.

You will collaborate with sales, become an expert in open-source Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas, and travel up to 30% to client sites. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in and debugging at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Data and AI solutions from Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, implement proof of concepts and validate integrations with cloud services and 3rd party apps.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications for customers.
• Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues.
• Become an expert in Databricks open-source projects and evangelize across communities.
• Travel to customers up to 30%.
