Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead technical engagements with customers, architect data and AI solutions, and evangelize the Lakehouse platform across cloud ecosystems. Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in and debugging at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Have built solutions with public cloud providers, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in at least one of the following: Data Engineering (Spark/Hadoop/Kafka), Data Warehousing (SQL), or Data Science/ML (pandas, scikit-learn, HPO).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for customers evaluating Data and AI solutions from Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, run proofs of concept, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party apps.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications for customers.
• Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues.
• Evangelize Databricks open-source projects (Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) across developer communities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive relationships across the company.
• Travel to customers up to 30%.
