Job summary

WEX is seeking a motivated student to join the Data Acquisition Team as the entry point to WEX’s Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform. You’ll ingest, validate, and orchestrate data from internal systems and third‑party providers, across batch, streaming, and event‑driven patterns.

You’ll work with AI/ML initiatives, develop agentic AI solutions, and collaborate with engineers and researchers to deliver scalable data tooling.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on programming experience in at least one language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, C#, JavaScript).
• Experience with data analysis, manipulation, or visualization.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI/ML projects addressing fraud prevention, credit risk, and real-time decision making.
• Develop and enhance agentic AI platforms to automate workflows and support decision-making.
• Work with data ingestion, processing, and analysis to transform and optimize core company data.
