Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a Tech Linguistic Tester 1 to proofread and edit content localized to your native language, catching grammar, typos, punctuation, capitalization, and inconsistencies. You may translate from English and check UIs for functional issues.

Responsibilities include bug reporting, task prioritization, and ensuring high-quality output. You will collaborate with linguistic experts to resolve questions and follow client glossaries and style guides.

Qualifications

• Must be native or fully bilingual in required language(s).
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
• 3+ years translation & localization experience is preferred.
• Experience with QA/testing and bug-reporting processes.
• Familiarity with testing across software, mobile apps, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Proofread and edit localized content for grammar, typos, punctuation, and style.
• Translate content from English to native language when required.
• Check UIs for functional issues and report defects clearly.
• Write and report bugs using internal bug-tracking tools.
• Prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain high quality deliverables.
• Research linguistic questions and adhere to client glossaries and style guides.
• Collaborate with localization teams and clients to ensure accuracy.
