Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a Tech Linguistic Tester 1 to proofread and edit content localized into the target language, catching grammar, typos, syntax, punctuation, and inconsistencies. You will also translate from English to your native language and check UIs for functional issues.

In this fast-paced role, you will work onsite at client locations and collaborate with localization teams to ensure high-quality multilingual content across software, apps, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Native-level or fluent bilingual in required language(s).
• Strong English skills, written and spoken.
• 3+ years professional translation & localization experience.
• Experience with consumer devices and tech terms.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Review and edit localized content for grammar and style.
• Translate content from English to target language when needed.
• Proofread UIs for functional issues and report defects.
• Write and report bugs using internal tracking tools.
• Follow project-specific quality standards and glossaries.
