Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Engineer to lead the Dams and Hydraulic Structures practice in the Southeast US. The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring, and business development across multiple states, with a focus on embankment and concrete dam projects.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in dam engineering, a PE license in the US, and a track record in proposal leadership, client relationships, and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• Advanced degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Geology/Structural/Hydraulics (preferred).
• US Professional Engineer license (required) and Georgia comity possible within 6 months.
• NCEES Record for PE (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead business development within the region and establish client relationships.
• Provide technical leadership for dam and hydraulic structures projects.
• Mentor technical staff and contribute to staff development and recruiting.
• Develop and implement dam engineering best practices within the firm.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and rehabilitation options.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on major regional projects.
