Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks a Principal or Senior Principal-Level Engineer for the Dams and Hydraulic Structures practice in the Southeast US.

Based in Atlanta or regional offices, you will lead engineering initiatives and grow the dam engineering group with a focus on embankment and concrete dams, spillways, and related facilities. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years in consulting, and active PE licensure in the US (GA preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related engineering degree).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in consulting industry or equivalent education/experience.
• US PE licensure (required) and GA licensure or ability to obtain via comity within 6 months.
• Knowledge of dam engineering, hydraulics, geotechnical and structural engineering; experience with risk analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional business strategy for Dams and Hydraulic Structures.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; identify opportunities across states.
• Mentor staff and grow dam engineering capabilities in the Southeast.
• Provide technical leadership on dam safety, hydrology/hydraulics, and geotechnical design.
• Prepare technical proposals and contribute to marketing materials.
