The role focuses on broadening practical knowledge under senior staff supervision, applying professional principles to real problems, with exposure to geotechnical, geostructural, tunnel, and dam engineering.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program, can work both office and field tasks, and are willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor's program.
• Strong oral and written communication and computer literacy.
• Ability to work with direction as part of a team.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks including office and field work.
• Desire and willingness to work outdoors.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist geotechnical investigations and analyses.
• Prepare construction plans.
• Support advanced earthquake engineering analyses.
• Perform construction observation and materials testing.
• Travel may be required.
