Schnabel Engineering is seeking a temporary full-time Civil Engineering intern to support our geotechnical and earth-related projects. The position runs May through August 2027, in Greensboro, NC, with supervision by senior engineers to expand practical knowledge and apply professional principles to real problems.

Must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and a willingness to perform office and field tasks, including outdoor

Qualifications

• Enrollment in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor's program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist geotechnical investigations and analyses; design retaining walls and excavation support; conduct hydrology studies.
• Prepare construction plans.
• Support advanced earthquake engineering analyses.
• Perform construction observation and materials testing.
