Job summary

Schnabel Engineering is seeking a temporary full-time Civil Engineering Intern to support our Helena, MT operations from May through August 2027. The emphasis is on broadening practical knowledge under the supervision of senior engineers.

Responsibilities include assisting in geotechnical investigations, retaining wall and excavation support design, hydrology and hydraulic studies, and reinforced concrete design, with opportunities to perform field work and construction observation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor's program.
• Willingness to work both office and field settings.
• Comfort with outdoor environments and physical tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in geotechnical investigations and analyses.
• Prepare construction plans and drawings.
• Support earthquake engineering analyses.
• Perform construction observation and materials testing.
• Some travel may be required.
