Job summary

Schnabel Engineering is seeking a temporary full-time Civil Engineering Intern to support our geotechnical and related projects from May through August 2027. The position offers practical hands-on experience under supervision of senior engineers, with emphasis on applying professional principles to real problems.

Candidates must be enrolled in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering programs, have good communication skills, be able to work both office and field tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Enrolment in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist geotechnical investigations and analyses, retaining wall/excavation support design, hydrology and hydraulic studies, and reinforced concrete design.
• Prepare construction plans.
• Support advanced earthquake engineering analyses.
• Perform construction observation and materials testing.
• Some travel may be required
