Schnabel Engineering, an employee-owned engineering and consulting firm, is seeking an Entry-Level Staff Engineer in Alpharetta, GA. The role offers exposure to fieldwork and analytical tasks across geotechnical and dam projects, with mentorship to develop technical competencies.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel.

Mansioni

• Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists while under the supervision of senior engineering personnel.
• Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers in accordance with internal drafting procedures and guidelines.
• Prepare complete plans and specifications to be part of construction documents.
• Develop engineering recommendations and write technical reports.
• Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including spillways, dam outlet works, diversion and check structures, measurement flumes, and other various raw water infrastructure.
• Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures.
• Collect data and measurements in the field.
