Xcel Energy in Denver, CO seeks a Claims Billing Clerk to manage the billing process for company damage claims and provide support across business units. You will use CRS, SAP, Business Objects, Utilisphere and related systems to prepare invoices, memos and correspondence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-high school business/technical experience a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality are required.
• Experience with billing and claims processes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate damage claims and assemble supporting documents.
• Prepare, edit and format memos, reports, invoices, and correspondence.
• Interact with contractors, police, fire departments and employees for documentation.
• Respond to inquiries on damage claims and manage information timely.
• Enter claim and invoice data, manage status, and coordinate payments.
• Negotiate payment options and terms with contractors or customers.
• Monitor unpaid claims, reversals, and escalate to collections as needed.
• Review bad debt and input payments accurately.
