Job summary

Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Utility Worker II to support our Raw Water Operations team by helping to maintain over 25 dams annually, including vegetation removal, erosion control, rodent management and debris removal to boost reliability and safety of our infrastructure and water transmission system.

The role requires overtime, weekends, holidays and 24-hour callouts as needed, with work across remote Colorado Springs locations using tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping, construction, or manual labor environment.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Basic computer skills (time entry, email, MS Teams).

Responsibilities

• Removing vegetation growth and debris from dams.
• Operating weed eaters and mowers.
• Troubleshooting groundskeeping equipment.
• Meeting dam inspection schedules and criteria.
• Performing erosion and rodent control.
