Schnabel Engineering in Wilmington, NC seeks a Civil Engineering Intern for May–August 2027 to apply engineering principles on real projects under senior supervision. The role emphasizes broadening practical knowledge through fieldwork, data collection, and reporting support within a collaborative team.

The position requires current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program, strong communication skills, and willingness to work outdoors with occasional travel.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; proficient with computers.
• Ability to work under supervision within a team.
• Willingness to perform both office and field tasks.
• Desire to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Perform geotechnical field work including observing subsurface exploration and using GPS to lay out borings.
• Conduct construction observation and materials testing at sites.
• Perform laboratory testing as needed.
• Create basic AutoCAD and GIS drawings.
• Support engineers in preparing geotechnical proposals and reports.
• Some travel may be required.
