Job Description

Plan, organize, train, and direct Grocery Clerks; perform production and customer service functions; maximize store sales and profits. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Responsibilities

  1. Organize work, train, and schedule associates to consistently provide prompt, courteous service.
  2. Respond appropriately to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests, and questions. Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
  3. Use Computer Assisted Ordering to manage ordering appropriate quantities of merchandise and supplies, and ensure proper accounting of received products and inventory levels.
  4. Perform and supervise the pricing and display of merchandise. Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation.
  5. Engage and counsel associates in effective merchandising techniques, customer service, product presentation, and promotional activities.
  6. Implement company programs and adhere to policies, especially regarding a harassment and discrimination-free work environment.
  7. Contribute to department budgets, goals, and results to maximize sales and profits.
  8. Communicate effectively with associates and customers to foster a positive environment.
  9. Maintain equipment and facilities safely and properly according to company policies.
  10. Keep floor, shelf, and display areas clean and sanitary.
  11. Maintain accurate department temperature logs across all shifts.
  12. Assist with special projects like inventories, store resets, remodels, and promotions.
  13. Supervise and coach direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback.
  14. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
