Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a Dairy & Freezer Clerk to maintain dairy and freezer sections, ensure correct stocking, rotation, and product integrity while supporting merchandising and inventory control. This role emphasizes food safety and excellent member service within a fast-paced perishables team.

The position requires basic dairy/freezer operations knowledge, attention to detail, and a readiness to uphold club standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Stock dairy and freezer products according to company planograms and maintain visual standards.
• Support cold chain integrity by monitoring temperature control and replenishing items to ensure freshness and availability.
• Apply FIFO rotation to reduce waste and maintain quality.
• Inspect products for expiration dates and conditions, removing damaged items to uphold safety standards.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including cleaning of coolers and equipment.
• Monitor in-stock levels and assist with replenishment to maintain a full department.
• Ensure signage and pricing are accurate to avoid confusion and support checkout operations.
• Support seasonal merchandising initiatives to drive sales and improve member experience.
• Adhere to company policies and perform duties across departments as needed.
