Responsibilities

St. Joseph's Clinical Laboratory is a fast-paced, innovative facility supporting the Medical Center's various service lines. We are a large lab with over 150 employees across 12 departments, including Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Surgical and Anatomic Pathology, Cytogenetics, and a growing Molecular Laboratory. We serve the Emergency Department with a STAT lab and a Regional Perinatal Laboratory serving Perinatologists statewide. Our support extends to St. Joseph’s Trauma Center, Lung and Heart Transplant programs, and Barrow's Neurological Center. We are committed to providing accurate laboratory results to ensure optimal diagnosis and patient care, following CLIA, CLSI, CAP, and The Joint Commission standards. We are currently seeking a Cytotechnologist to join our Anatomic Pathology team. The role involves preparing and screening human body cells for pathological conditions. Candidates should have at least one year of related experience.

Requirements:

  • One year of related experience
  • 12 months training in an NCCLC-approved school of Cytotechnology
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred:

  • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Cytotechnologist (CT) certification

Qualifications

Minimum one year of related experience and 12 months training in an NCCLC-approved school of Cytotechnology. Certification by ASCP as a Cytotechnologist is preferred.

Pay Range

$32.08 - $46.51 per hour
