Position Overview

This position supervises laboratory services in assigned areas by supervising personnel and overseeing daily workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (Medical Laboratory Science) or related field.
• WV Licensure as a Laboratory Technologist within 90 days of hire.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist by ASCP or AMT.

Experience

• Four (4) years as a Medical Technologist.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Assist managers in supervising lab areas, coordinate specimen handling, operate lab equipment, develop procedures, ensure safety, respond to customer inquiries, organize workflow, participate in staff training, monitor quality control, and perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Lift or pull up to 25 pounds.
• Work in a noisy environment, tolerate specimen odors, and maintain safety standards.

Additional Responsibilities
