Supervisor, Transmission/HP Engineering

Remote within Service Territories (DE, PA, MD, NC, FL, GA, OH, VA)

Your role in our success will be...

The Supervisor, Engineering oversees a team responsible for transmission and distribution engineering functions including project design, permitting, and standards governance (materials, manuals, procedures). This role ensures process and standards alignment, team performance, and coordination across the engineering discipline. It collaborates with other department leaders to prioritize and complete projects safely and compliantly.

What you'll be working on...
  • Leads a team of engineers and technicians in utility engineering, reflecting company values of care, integrity, and excellence. Ensures activities are prioritized according to budget and strategic plans.
  • Develops, trains, coaches, and evaluates team members.
  • Supports Operations, Business Development, and Regulatory teams with project development, system planning, integrity management, and compliance tasks.
  • Provides technical guidance on project design, permitting, standards development, and process improvements.
  • Sets priorities and goals, establishing accountability for targets.
  • Identifies and executes process improvements with stakeholders.
  • Supports budget and financial forecasting, and communicates operational status and outcomes.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and other regulations.
  • Fosters a positive work culture to enhance engagement and retention.
Who you are:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Experience: 5 years in a similar role
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Travel required between work sites as needed
  • Preferred: PE License and/or certifications like PMP, NACE, API, GTI, or similar
  • Knowledge: Engineering principles, construction, maintenance, operations
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, organizational skills
  • Abilities: Review engineering plans, work independently and in diverse environments, multi-task, lead virtually and in person
