Job summary

The Navy Child and Youth Programs (CYP) at Navy Region Mid-Atlantic seeks a diligent Operations Clerk to serve as the front-line liaison for families and programs, manage the waitlist, and handle enrollment documentation and fee collection. You will support multiple CYP components and ensure timely, accurate record-keeping across systems.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to handle sensitive information, and familiarity with CYMS or similar databases.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of administrative support functions.
• Knowledge of general office automation software and procedures.
• Knowledge of military CYP programs and USDA Food Programs.
• Ability to maintain a computerized database (CYMS or equivalent).
• Ability to maintain accurate reports and records and military-style documents.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Cash handling experience.
• Two years of administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains CYP record keeping and reporting for multiple components (CDC, CDH, SAC, YP, R&R, USDA).
• Manages waitlists, enrollment paperwork, and family liaison duties.
• Collects and records parent fees; monitors supplies and deposits funds.
• Provides front desk coverage and responds to program inquiries and status requests.
• Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports in accordance with policies.
