Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a CYP Assistant to engage and care for children and youth within the CYP. The role focuses on safety, skill development, and structured activities addressing social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

The position emphasizes following schedules, coordinating with parents, and maintaining program compliance with DoD and accreditation standards. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• English communication is required for effective engagement with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to promote and foster effective working relationships with children, youth, and coworkers.
• Six months of experience in CY settings for intermediate level; one year for target level.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans for children and youth.
• Implements activities and events meeting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Supervises participants in indoor/outdoor activities and field trips.
• Communicates with parents and staff regarding child progress and program activities.
• Ensures compliance with DoD and local policies and maintains safety.
