Job summary

Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF). The role focuses on planning, coordination, and implementation of projects across CYF, ensuring timely progress and clear communication.

The incumbent will assist with day-to-day operations, tracking timelines and documentation, coordinating meetings, and supporting internal teams and external partners. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field plus at least two years of experience in administrative, project coordination, or human services support roles.
• OR 4 years of experience in administrative, project coordination, or human services support roles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables with the Project Manager.
• Track milestones, deadlines, and action items to ensure timely completion.
• Develop and maintain project documentation (reports, spreadsheets, notes, maps).
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and assign follow-ups.
• Liaise with internal staff, CYF Administration, and external partners.
• Monitor progress and identify risks or delays.
• Support data collection, basic analysis, and inform decisions.
• Prepare progress reports and presentations for leadership.
• Maintain organized project files and up-to-date documentation.
• Contribute to problem-solving during implementation.
• Support integration across DHS programs.
• Perform special projects and general administrative tasks.
