Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. (CVG) is seeking a Cycle Counter to strengthen inventory accuracy in our manufacturing environment.

You will perform daily to monthly cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, partnering with production, warehouse, and quality teams to document results and identify root causes. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in inventory control, experience with ERP/WMS systems, and basic Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in inventory control or cycle counting in a manufacturing/warehouse setting.
• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP/WMS software).

Position Summary:

The Cycle Counter is responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods to ensure inventory accuracy in a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with production, warehouse, and inventory teams to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and support continuous improvement of inventory control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular cycle counts according to the schedule and document all results accurately.
• Compare physical inventory to system records (ERP or WMS) and reconcile discrepancies.
• Investigate inventory variances and work with relevant departments to identify root causes.
• Update inventory records in the system after counts are verified.
• Assist with physical inventory counts during quarterly or annual audits.
• Ensure inventory areas are organized and properly labeled for ease of counting.
• Monitor and report on inventory levels, shortages, and excesses.
• Follow established safety and quality procedures in all job functions.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments regarding inventory issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and material flow.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of inventory control or cycle counting experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP/WMS software).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• May be exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, and machinery.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
