Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) seeks a Cycle Counter to perform regular counts of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods in a manufacturing setting. You will compare counts to ERP/WMS records, investigate discrepancies, and support inventory control improvements.

The role requires a GED or higher, 1–2 years’ cycle counting experience, and familiarity with SAP/Oracle/NetSuite or similar systems. On-site work in a manufacturing environment with PPE as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of inventory control or cycle counting experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP/WMS software).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts according to the schedule and document all results accurately.
• Compare physical inventory to system records (ERP or WMS) and reconcile discrepancies.
• Investigate inventory variances and work with relevant departments to identify root causes.
• Update inventory records in the system after counts are verified.
• Assist with physical inventory counts during quarterly or annual audits.
• Monitor and report on inventory levels, shortages, and excesses.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and material flow.

Position Summary:The Cycle Counter is responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods to ensure inventory accuracy in a manufacturing environment.
