Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a technically masterful Technical Training Engineer to join our Santa Clara headquarters. This isn’t your average “slide-reading” instructor role; you will lead Cortex workshops and onboarding bootcamps and actively develop AI enablement tools to scale learning across our global program.

This hands-on player/coach role requires mentoring, collaboration with enablement architects, and a path to advanced architecture or leadership as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering technical courseware or equivalent cybersecurity hands-on work.
• Hands-on with SIEM, SOAR, XDR; Cortex stack knowledge preferred.
• AI tool development, prototyping AI/LLM-powered workflows.
• Data gathering, analysis, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Strong classroom delivery and adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced Cortex workshops and whiteboarding sessions for global audiences.
• Own onboarding bootcamps and convert new hires into field-ready security professionals.
• Develop AI-enabled tools to scale onboarding (labs, simulations, assistants).
• Measure AI tool adoption, accuracy, and performance; report to leadership.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to justify enablement programs' impact.
• Maintain lab excellence and readiness of labs and simulations.
• Mentor future engineers; lead Train-the-Trainer initiatives; support partners.
