Job summary

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) seeks a technical analyst to serve as a primary liaison with customers and resolve a wide range of application and desktop configuration issues. The role supports US Cyber Command and operates within the Cyber Excepted Service at the DISA Global Service Desk.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree with 24 semester hours in one or more fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
• Attention to Detail - experience reviewing IT-related work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.
• Customer Service - experience giving information about IT products and services to address IT needs.
• Oral Communication - experience briefing status of IT systems and projects to a non-technical audience.
• Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address routine IT-related issues by using standard sources.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a technical analyst and primary customer liaison.
• Resolves problems involving integration or configuration issues of a wide variety of applications and desktop configurations.
• Provides technical advice and assistance including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving customer application problems.
• Researches, evaluates, and provides feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements.
• Reviews, validates, and standardizes problem resolutions for inclusion in the problem resolution database.
• Applies information security/information assurance policies in the delivery of customer services.
