Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Principal Network Engineer in the United States to lead and shape the network infrastructure with a focus on security, reliability, and scalability. You will guide design, implementation, and ongoing optimization while mentoring a team of engineers.

The role requires extensive Cisco expertise, network protocols mastery, and collaboration with executive leadership to align IT initiatives with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 12+ years of experience; 14 years if no degree.
• Mastery of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Extensive experience with Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience designing and managing network implementations in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision and execution of the organization’s network infrastructure.
• Design and implement advanced and secure network architectures.
• Serve as top-tier escalation point for complex network issues.
• Mentor junior to senior engineers and drive adoption of best practices within the team.
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure project delivery.
