Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH is seeking a Senior Technical Enablement Architect within the Enterprise Security Group in the United States. The role focuses on enabling technical pre-sales teams to position and sell Zero Trust, microsegmentation, and SASE/SSE offerings, including AI security.

You will partner with Product Management to craft training and content and serve as the main technical contact for Sales Engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in presales, sales engineering, solution architecture, product management, professional services, or customer success.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Deep understanding of Zero Trust principles and related architectures (microsegmentation, SASE/SSE).
• Experience with AI security and governance for AI workloads and interactions.
• Knowledge of datacenter security technologies and networking basics.
• Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills to articulate product value.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing updates to the pre-sales community on roadmap, lifecycle, and key technical information.
• Collaborate with Product Management/Marketing to deliver impactful sales training and technical content.
• Act as the primary technical POC for Sales Engineers on complex inquiries and RFI/RFP responses.
• Analyze feature requests and communicate field feedback to Product Management.
• Guide field teams in designing solutions for POCs and strategic deals.
• Develop and maintain product demos with TME/SE teams to showcase the ESG portfolio.
• Translate technical capabilities into clear business value narratives for executives.
