Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer at Level 3/4 for our Aurora, Colorado facility. You will design and implement security controls aligned with NIST/NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI guidance, and DoD RMF, while supporting high-level cyber security engineering perspectives.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, experience in system integration, testing, and credentialed security certifications, plus hands-on experience with Rapid7, Splunk, and Trellix.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's with 3; PhD with 1. Additional 4 years may substitute a degree.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph at time of application.
• Experience with requirements development, derivation, system integration, test, and verification.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, implement, and assess security controls, policies, and processes per NIST SP 800-53 and DoD RMF guidance.
• Assist with implementing system security architectures.
• Provide advanced technical analyses and develop solutions for cyber infrastructure challenges.
• Participate in team reviews of requirements, design and implementation plans prior to deployment.
• Serve as a Cyber Security Engineer (ISSE) supporting high-level technical expertise.
