Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Aurora, CO seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer at Level 3 or 4 to join a highly secure environment. You will support design, implementation, and protection of complex systems and cloud environments with RMF and modern cyber tools.

The role requires experience with cyber security in DoD contexts, RMF accreditation, and tools such as Rapid7, Trellix, and Splunk. A clearance and related certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Active SCI clearance with CI polygraph at time of application.
• Bachelor's degree with experience or higher; advanced degrees preferred.
• Security+ or CISSP certification required or equivalent.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure design and implementation.
• Background in Systems Security Engineering per NIST SP 800-160.
• Experience configuring security tools such as Rapid7, Trellix, Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Apply Systems Security Engineering across the system lifecycle.
• Design and secure cloud infrastructures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Operate cyber security tools for monitoring and incident response.
• Implement and maintain cloud security platforms and logging.
• Adhere to DoD 8500-series and DoDI 8510.01 directives.
• Lead RMF accreditation activities and documentation.
• Develop RMF artifacts: SSP, SAP/SA, Contingency Plan.
• Collaborate with engineers and program management on security requirements.
• Provide guidance on cyber risks and mitigations.
