Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Aurora, Colorado is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer at level 3 or 4 to design, implement, and assess security controls in alignment with NIST SP 800-53 and DoD RMF guidance. The role requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance, DoD IA policies, and experience with Rapid7, Trellix, and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph at time of application.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with 3 years; or PhD with 1 year.
• Experience with requirements development, derivation, system integration & testing/verification.
• Currently valid Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience configuring and implementing Rapid7, Trellix and Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, implement, and assess security controls aligned with NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI guidance.
• Assist with security architecture implementation.
• Provide advanced analyses of cyber infrastructure challenges and develop solutions.
• Participate in team reviews of requirements, design and deployment plans.
• Serve as a Cyber Security ISSE supporting senior technical work.
