Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer at Level 3 or 4 to secure complex space and ground systems. The role emphasizes RMF, cybersecurity, and system survivability across satellite and C2 segments, with on-site work and potential TS/SCI requirements.

The candidate will engage with IPTs, decompose security controls, and document security artifacts while supporting agile development and cross-domain solutions in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering with Electrical or Software focus; 5 years’ experience or 3 with a Masters.
• 8 years of engineering experience if BS; 6 years with a Masters.
• Minimum 2 years of Cyber/SSE experience, preferably in defense/aerospace.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and satisfy RMF CyberSecurity, CyberResilience, and/or CyberSurvivability requirements for satellite, C2, and ground systems.
• Decompose security controls into technical requirements across segments and verify with system engineers.
• Prepare SSP, RAR, SCTM, and POA&M documents; support vulnerability management and patching.
• Deploy and maintain security products (firewalls, AV, 2FA, SIEM) in terrestrial and cloud environments.
• Assist in space vehicle hardening; work with RTOS and secure coding practices.
