Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer – Level 3/4 for our Space Sector, located onsite in Gilbert, AZ (or Dulles, VA). The role focuses on RMF-based cybersecurity, system security engineering, and integration across satellite, ground, and C2 segments.

Onsite work is required; relocation may be available. The ideal candidate has DoD/Space cybersecurity experience, active TS/SCI clearance, and hands-on work with security controls, vulnerability management, and RMF processes.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret/SI/SCI clearance at time of application.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years cyber systems experience OR Master’s with 3+ years.
• Experience implementing RMF from system categorization through continuous monitoring.
• Proven ability to document deviations and mitigations for security controls.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and satisfy RMF CyberSecurity requirements for satellite systems and C2.
• Decompose security controls into technical performance requirements across segments.
• Prepare SSP, RAR, SCTM, and POA&M documentation.
• Deploy and maintain COTS security products (firewalls, SIEM, two-factor auth).
• Support space vehicle hardening and secure coding practices for mission-critical systems.
