Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Aurora, CO, seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer – Level 3 or 4 to design, implement, and assess security controls in accordance with NIST RMF and DoD guidance. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD compliance, and experience with security architectures.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph at time of application.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s with 3 years; PhD with 1 year; additional 4 years may substitute for degree.
• Experience with requirements development, derivation, system integration & test and validation and verification.
• Currently valid Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar security certification.
• Experience configuring and implementing Rapid7, Trellix and Splunk among other industry standard technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, implement, and assess security controls and processes per NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF guidance.
• Assist in implementing system security architectures.
• Provide advanced analyses of cyber infrastructure challenges and develop technical solutions.
• Participate in team reviews of requirements, design and implementation plans prior to deployment.
• Serve as a Cyber Security engineer (ISSE) with high‑level technical expertise.
