Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to support the CAF DMO 3.0 program in Hampton, VA.

You will perform test, integration, and evaluation of M&S systems to support 5th and 6th generation training interoperability, collaborating with DoD customers and other Serco teams. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR, a STEM degree with relevant engineering experience, and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required or the ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR within a reasonable period.
• Bachelors degree in a STEM field with 5 years of engineering experience in test, integration, SW development, or embedded systems engineering; or an Associateegree with 7 years of experience.
• Experience supporting DoD customers in a technical capacity.
• Familiarity with development, test, and evaluation of military training or operational systems.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CISSP) or equivalent.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Support simulation system and application integration, evaluation, and interoperability testing.
• Use industry-standard tools (Wireshark, CGFs) for test and evaluation.
• Analyze network and compute performance (latency, bandwidth, jitter, occupancy).
• Develop and maintain test plans and procedures; document and drive test activities.
• Draft comprehensive test reports from integration, test, evaluation, and verification tasks.
• Contribute to CONOPS and COAs for deployment of simulated capabilities.
• Assist in requirements review, training support, and basic system administration tasks.
• Create well-defined test procedures and test cases under senior engineer guidance.
• Support program processes using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, X-Ray).
• Participate in peer reviews, test bed maintenance, and debugging activities.
• Write and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Cygwin, VBScript) to improve artifact creation and task execution.
• Identify and help resolve production and non-production issues.
